SIR Thomas Boteler Church of England High School is celebrating after being awarded Warrington Wolves’ Made of Steel High School of the Year, at an official ceremony at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

The award, presented on Saturday evening celebrates community Rugby League across the town, from school teams to community clubs.

Headteacher Mrs Beverley Scott-Herron, who collected the award commented: “We are not the biggest school in our town, but we have the biggest expectations and aspirations for what our young people can and will achieve.
“Our PE Team have changed hearts and minds. It was a fabulous atmosphere and evening. All the parents and carers I spoke to could not thank us enough for what we have done for their children, not only in sport but holistically. I felt very proud.“
